For host cities, it is a one time opportunity to welcome the entire world, update infrastructures of the region and boost the local economy.

For countries that have decided to be candidates to hold a world exhibition, it is a long project to develop national and international image (nation branding), reinforce bilateral relations, open unlimited economic sources and increase the touristic sector. Those special events encourage education and become an ephemeral city-lab to improve our society in a multicultural environment. 

It takes a few years for the organizer (host city), the participating countries (international pavilions), the construction companies and the communication agencies, to name a few, to work together with the intention of capturing the curiosity of the world wide visitors to the expo.

The main challenge is to keep all the visitors captivated by the expo from the first day to the last.
